What a wonderful experience! The ladies walked us through step by step making it feel very easy, and then they showed us around the casona which is breathtaking. Hearing the stories behind their harvesting trips is fascinating and learning their process left me wanting for more. Hope more workshops come with more colors <3
As someone who is intimidated by natural dyeing, I found, this class to be a great way to get over my fear. The instructions were clear, there was a lot of time for questions, and it was great to meet the team virtually in their studio. I would love to see additional classes with other kinds of materials, too!
I had a fabulous time at the virtual dye workshop, plus it included a tour of the Pinchinku workspace and conversation the delightful indigenous ladies who taught the class. What a wonderful way to transport yourself to the Andes! It was amazing to see the dried flowers create a beautiful yellow dye for the napkins. I want to do it again with friends. Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful time doing the dye workshop! It was so fun to get a tour of the Pichinku workspace with views of the surrounding Andes and learn about artisanal dye practices. The napkins turned out beautifully. Educational, fun, and artistic. I would recommend getting a kit for yourself and another kit for a friend and doing the workshop together :)
